Sierra Conservation Center (State Prison), located in Jamestown is canvassing for candidates who possess a Grade II Water Treatment and Grade II or III Wastewater Treatment Certifications to apply for several vacancies. These positions are limited-term with the possibility of becoming permanent, full-time. Under general direction of the Correctional Plant Supervisor, this position oversees the operation of the water and wastewater treatment operations. These institution utility operations shall be in accordance with the standards and regulations of the Department of Health Services (DOHS) and the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) including the waste discharge and NPDES requirements. The duties of this position are to assume the normal and routine duties of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operations for the assigned watch.
