Woo-hoo! Guess what? I've been adopted AND the next best part is that my best friend, Sushi, was adopted with me. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ This adorable boy was born sometime around June of 2007. He was then betrayed (at least once) and abandoned at a Shell gas station onHighway 99 outside of Visalia, Ca, around the first of May 2008, if not before, and there he languished, hiding in bushes, scared and near starving but for the occasional burito or potato chip tossed his way until one wonderful day he was spotted by a school teacher by the name of Melissa. Heart-broken for the frightened but gentle, beautiful young dog, Melissa made it her mission to earn his trust and find a safe place for him to go. She shared her story with her class and they too began to carry the dog they came to know as Shell in their hearts, hoping beyond hope that it would work out well for him. It took Melissa many stops at that gas station and a great deal of patience but she finally did earn his trust to the point that he would excitedly come out of his hiding place to greet her when he heard her car approaching. In the meantime she searched far and wide to find a santuary for him, which ultimately led her to Noah's. We agreed to hold a space for him and one day we received the long awaited call from Melissa saying she had him in her car! Woo-hoo!!! Well, now he's having the greatest time here at Noah's playing every day with his new friends, Sushi and Walter and is tail-wagging happy to visit daily with our shelter director, kennel workers Josh and Jason, and our volunteers. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, gets along with everybody, loving dog please consider handsome Shell. He is scheduled to be neutered soon as will be available for adoption shortly thereafter. As with all of Noah's dogs he will be microchipped before leaving us.
